
The Peitz Cancer Support House provides a comprehensive support services program from first diagnosis throughout treatment and beyond in a home-like environment for cancer patients and their families. This is the area’s first line of support for cancer patients, and their families and friends. We are here to encourage you, from diagnosis through treatment.

The Peitz Cancer Support House is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and free support group meetings and other activities are held at various times of the day and evening. A staff member or volunteer will be available weekdays during regular business hours to answer questions about events and activities.

Melissa has worked in healthcare for many years and has a great passion for helping others. She feels very blessed to be the new Coordinator of the PCSH and enjoys being a part of offering encouragement, support and education to cancer patients and their families.
Melissa has experienced losing a grandfather to cancer but has also had many loved ones diagnosed with cancer survive. She knows firsthand that there is so much hope to be had with a cancer diagnosis and many moments to celebrate along the way.
Melissa moved to the Twin Lakes Area in 2004 and resides in Gassville with her husband, Christian, and son, Tristan. She enjoys spending time with her family and takes pride in being a mom. She enjoys canoeing, scenic country drives and hikes as well as church activities and Bible studies.
Melissa is passionate about promoting the services offered at PCSH and making those newly diagnosed with cancer aware that they can come there for support and information. She can be contacted by calling the PCSH at (870) 508-CARE (2273) or via email at mhudson@baxterregional.org.
