Yoga at the Peitz Cancer Support House
Chair Yoga: Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Chair yoga is a gentle stretching exercise for those with chronic back
pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia or other pain and movement issues. Participants
will learn supported standing and sitting poses.No familiarity with yoga
is necessary and props and equipment are provided. We recommend you wear
comfortable, loose fitting clothing.
Beginning Yoga: Tuesdays from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. and Thursdays from 2 – 3 p.m.
Yoga combines deep breathing and gentle stretching with relaxation techniques.
Participants will learn standing, sitting, floor and inversion poses.
We recommend you wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing and bring your
own yoga mat for the beginner’s class. Other yoga props are provided
for all classes. Ages 16+ welcome.
Classes are taught by Becca Smith, a certified yoga instructor with 20
years’ teaching experience.

Exercise - PCSH Cancer Wellness Group
Regular exercise can help to ease some side effects of treatment, such
as fatigue. Exercise can improve your ability to complete normal activities
of daily living, lower the risk of anxiety or depression, and improve
your quality of life. Exercise is also beneficial in reducing cancer recurrence.
The Cancer Wellness Group is a free exercise program specifically designed
for cancer patients in all stages of treatment and recovery. As in any
exercise program, please consult your physician before beginning.
Exercise sessions are held every Tuesday & Thursday from 9:30 AM till
11:30 AM in the Knox Wellness Center. Sessions can be individualized to
your abilities and needs.
