Sleep Disorder Center to host Open House
In celebration of World Sleep Day on Friday, March 16, an Open House will
be held from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. at the newly renovated Baxter Regional
Medical Center Sleep Disorder Center. Located on the sixth floor of BRMC,
the Sleep Disorder Center has two additional private testing rooms and
expanded observation areas, allowing patient testing to be scheduled sooner.
Tours of the remodeled unit will be led by staff members, showing visitors
the expansion and updated modern decor of the unit.
Accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the BRMC Sleep Disorder
Center is open Monday though Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and offers
overnight and daytime testing under the medical direction of Board Certified
Sleep Disorder Specialist
Paul Neis, MD. After testing, the Sleep Disorder Center works closely with BRMC Sleep
DME (Durable Medical Equipment), offering CPAP and BiPAP machines, masks,
and supplies for treatments of sleep disordered breathing. A Respiratory
Therapist and Registered Polysomnographic Technologist/Certified Sleep
Educator work one-on-one with patients to find the right equipment for
compliance and best outcomes.
