Peitz Cancer Support House celebrates 13 years
The Peitz Cancer Support House opened 13 years ago today on October 24,
2000. The PCSH has touched thousands of lives and been a unique resource
to numerous cancer patients and their families and friends.
The PCSH is our communityand#39;s first line of cancer support, from diagnosis
through treatment and survivorship. The PCSH is there to support and encourage
cancer patients and their families and friends through one-on-one sessions,
educational seminars and exercise programs as well as access to the extensive
resource library, wig and turban bank and mastectomy/lumpectomy supplies.
All services and support sessions are available free of charge, thanks
to our community's generous support.
Baxter Regional Hospital Foundationand#39;s Lend-A-Hand campaign benefits
the Peitz Cancer Support House in addition to the three other community
health education and support houses - Mruk Family Education Center on
Aging, Reppell Diabetes Learning Center and Schliemann Center for Women's
Health Education. To learn more about how you can lend a hand to BRMC,
