available in breast reconstruction.
The Breast Cancer Survivors Support Group offers women with breast cancer
a chance to share their experience with others who may be going through
similar experiences. The sessions are for all women with breast cancer,
whether newly diagnosed or a long-term survivor. The group covers various
topics of interest such as different types of breast cancer and treatments,
reconstruction and living beyond cancer.
On Friday, May 3 at noon,
Jan Halligan, LD, RD, CDE
will discuss the pros and cons of juicing during the Celebrating Life
Support Group meeting at the PCSH. Jan will also discuss the nutrition
guidelines for patients receiving chemotherapy or radiation treatment.
The Celebrating Life Support Group is open to all men and women that have
ever been diagnosed with cancer. All types of cancer are welcome. Discussion
topics include different types of cancer, treatments, and survivorship.
Whether they are sharing their experiences, hearing an educational speaker
or having lunch together, the members of this group enjoy fun and fellowship.
