Safe Sitter Classes Offered This Summer at Schliemann Center

The best babysitter is a Safe Sitter! Safe Sitter® is a medically accurate program that teaches young adolescents how to handle emergencies when caring for children. This class teaches safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior management skills, and appropriate responses to medical emergencies.

Baxter Regional Medical Center is proud to again offer Safe Sitter classes this summer at the Schliemann Center for Women's Health Education. Two day sessions are available on the following dates:

All sessions are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with lunch provided. Cost is $35 and includes Safe Sitter student manual, completion card and messenger bag with supplies. Scholarships are available based on financial need.

Participants must be 11-13 years old by the class date. Completed Safe Sitter Registration and Student Contract, BRMC Media Consent, and payment must be received one week prior to class day. All forms may be downloaded and returned to the SCWHE, or click on the linked dates above to register online. Hurry! Class size is limited, and sessions fill up quickly.
