Baxter Health Welcomes Vascular Specialist Heath J. Broussard, MD

Baxter Health recently welcomed vascular surgeon Heath J. Broussard, MD, to the medical staff. He has joined the Baxter Health Heart and Vascular Clinic and the practice of Dr. F. Michael Bauer, Dr. James Munns, Dr. Kent Nachtigal, and nurse practitioners Emily Brown and Kathy Prinner.

Dr. Broussard practiced in Jackson, Tennessee, for 25 years before relocating to Mountain Home. With a special interest in endovascular techniques to treat diseases of the blood vessels, Dr. Broussard operates on complex abdominal aortic aneurysms and other complex vascular surgeries involving the mesenteric and subclavian arteries as well as performs carotid bypass surgery. His ongoing research and publications in vascular surgery treatments along with his extensive experience in the specialty help Baxter Health strengthen its position as the leading provider of heart and vascular services in north central Arkansas and southern Missouri.

A graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Dr. Broussard attended Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed a general surgery residency and vascular surgery specialty training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Broussard has worked diligently to become a consultant, speaker, physician proctor, and clinical representative proctor for Terumo Aortic, Medtronic Spine/AV, and Silk Road Medical.
