Free Alzheimer's screenings Nov. 21 at the MFECOA

November is National Alzheimerand#39;s Disease Awareness Month. Alzheimer's disease is a progressive, degenerative disease that attacks the brain and results in impaired memory, thinking, and behavior. According to the Alzheimer's Association, Alzheimer's disease is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States, an American develops it every 68 seconds, and over 5 million Americans are living with it - including over 100,000 Arkansans.

On Thursday, November 21, the Mruk Family Education Center on Aging and Fairlamb Senior Health Clinic will be partnering to offer free Alzheimerand#39;s screenings from 1 to 3 p.m. The screenings will be held at the Mruk Family Education Center on Aging on the BRMC campus, across Hospital Drive from the Main Entrance. Appointments are not required.
