Baxter Health Recognized as Top 100 Hospital by Chartis Center for Rural Health

March 30, 2023 – Baxter Health is proud to announce that it has been recognized as a 2023 Top 100 Rural Health and Community Hospital by the Chartis Center for Rural Health. This prestigious award recognizes hospitals that demonstrate excellence in providing quality and affordable care to rural communities.

Baxter Health is one of only two hospitals in its region to receive this recognition this year and joins an elite group of only 13% of rural hospitals nationwide that were awarded the distinction. The hospital has worked tirelessly over the years to create programs designed specifically for their rural community such as telemedicine services which allow patients access to specialty care without having to travel long distances. They also offer a variety of educational classes focused on health promotion topics such as nutrition and wellness classes free-of-charge to local residents.
