Baxter Regional Medical Center won two awards in an annual marketing competition sponsored by the Arkansas Hospital Association (AHA) and Arkansas Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations (ASHMPR). The Diamond Awards recognize excellence and encourage improvement in the quality, effectiveness, and impact of healthcare marketing and public relations in the state. Judging for each entry was based upon goals and objectives, the audience to whom the entry was directed, reasons for choosing the format, frequency and quantity, and portions that were created internally.

The following Diamond Awards were presented to Baxter Regional at the 2019 Arkansas Hospital Association Annual Meeting held in early October:

  • Diamond Award in the Publication category for Pulse magazine
  • Diamond Award in the Advertising - Special Visual category for Accomplishments of 2018 video

AHA award winnersThe Baxter Regional Marketing team partnered with Moore Visuals and Wheelhouse Design to produce the award-winning projects. Pulse is a bi-annual magazine recreated from a 1980s Baxter Regional publication of the same name. The magazine is produced by Sarah Knight of Wheelhouse Design in partnership with the Baxter Regional Marketing team led by Tobias Pugsley, Director of Marketing, that also includes Brittany Honey, Marketing Specialist, and Adrienne Koehn, Graphic Designer. Pulse was designed to be informative and useful to hospital staff, patients and the community and includes news, features and regular columns on a wide range of health-related topics.

Accomplishments of 2018 is a short, high-quality anthem video showcasing the many accomplishments achieved during the 2018 year. It was produced by James Moore, videographer and owner, Moore Visuals, and the Baxter Regional Marketing team. The video was a unique way to present information and share across several platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, and Baxter Regional’s own informational screens throughout the facility. It reached more than 24,000 people on Facebook alone.

Baxter Regional also received a Certificate of Excellence in the Annual Report category for the 2017 Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation Annual Report. Brooks Jeffrey Marketing, Inc. has produced a Foundation annual report since 2009 and works closely with Foundation staff on the project. Printed copies are made available for all Baxter Regional donors, and digital files are available to view and download at baxterregional.org/foundation/annual-reports/.

Baxter Regional is proud of this recognition by AHA and ASHMPR and grateful for these creative partnerships and everyone involved who helped us achieve these accomplishments!
