Charles Grinder, APRN, recognized as a Certified Wound Specialist
Baxter Regional Medical Center is proud to recognize Charles Grinder, APRN,
as a Certified Wound Specialist (CWS®). Charles Grinder is a nurse
practitioner working alongside Dr. Eric Spann at the
Baxter Regional Health System Hometown Clinic at Mountain View. Charles underwent many hours of hard work in preparation for the CWS®
Examination and is the first provider in Stone County to be designated
a Certified Wound Specialist.
Qualified candidates for certification in wound management are required
to achieve a passing score on the examination in order to earn the designation
CWS®. Board certification in wound management is achieved only through
a rigorous process by the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM). Those
who become certified in wound management through the ABWM have earned
the professional designation of CWS®. CWSs are an elite group of healthcare
professionals involved in wound management, and Charles Grinder, APRN,
CWS, achieved this accomplishment in early May.
The American Board of Wound Management has certified approximately 4,000
individuals nationwide since 1995. Congratulations, Charles Grinder, APRN,
CWS, on your certified designation!
