SCWHE provides fibromyalgia support
A womenandrsquo;s fibromyalgia support group meets monthly at the Schliemann
Center for Women’s Health Education. Women currently suffering or
who have suffered with fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis or other autoimmune
ailments are invited to attend. The next meeting is scheduled for Monday,
February 13 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Maggie at the SCWHE
BRMC dietitian Maggie Danforth, RDN, LD, continues her inviting and informative
monthly classes at the Schliemann Center for Womenandrsquo;s Health Education,
highlighting the health benefits of preventative nutrition. This month,
the focus is on Nutrition for Heart Health and is scheduled to meet Tuesday,
February 14 from 10 to 11 a.m.
SCWHE Learning Session: Supporting Someone with Diabetes
The Schliemann Center for Womenandrsquo;s Health Education will host a learning
session Wednesday, February 22, from 11 a.m. to noon focusing on how to
support a relative, friend, or loved one who has been diagnosed with diabetes.
Jodi Bodenhamer, RN, CDE, of the Reppell Diabetes Learning Center will
share what it means to live with diabetes and offer ideas on how to support
those we love.
Ladies Balance Class offered at the SCWHE
The ladies Beauty Balance Classes were developed to focus on the importance
of stability and strength training for senior women. They are held Friday
mornings at the Schliemann Center for Womenand#39;s Health Education at
9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
SCWHE Book Club
Ladies are invited to participate in the SCWHE Book Club that meets the
4th Tuesday of the month at the Schliemann Center for Womenandrsquo;s Health
Education. This month’s meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February
28 at 1 p.m.
selections.feeding Classes offered at the SCWHE
The Schliemann Center for Womenandrsquo;s Health Education offers monthly
Childbirth and Breastfeeding Classes for expectant mothers. These educational
classes focus on topics such as what to expect, breathing and relaxation
techniques, comfort measures, pain management skills, infant care, advantages
of breastfeeding, breast pumping, and how to adjust back to work and/or

Women, Newborn and Infant Support offered at SCWHE
Along with the many joys, life with a new baby can present many challenges.
Stop by the Schliemann Center for Womenand#39;s Health Education between
the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. each Tuesday afternoon to meet with
our Women, Newborn & Infant Support Coach. She will answer any questions
you may have about your new little one, including breastfeeding support,
developmental information, and can also provide a free weigh-in of your baby.
