The Schliemann Center for Women's Health Education has the following educational events scheduled in October:

Lunch and Learn: Breast to be Informed
Kicking off Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Schliemann Center for Women's Health Education will host Dr. Jennifer Foster of Ozark Surgical Group on Monday, October 3 from noon to 1 p.m. Statistics show that about one in eight U.S. women will develop breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. Early detection and treatment are keys to positive survival outcomes. Join us as Dr. Foster shares about the quality surgical breast care you or a loved one can expect to receive, conveniently, right here at home. This event is free, and a light lunch will be provided. Space is limited, and reservations are required.

Maggie at the SCWHE
The Schliemann Center for Women's Health Education will host Pumpkin Magic presented by Maggie Danforth, a registered dietician and certified LEAP therapist at Baxter Regional Medical Center, on Tuesday, October 11 from 10 to 11 a.m. Women's functional approach focuses on foods that help nourish and fight chronic inflammatory conditions. Ladies are invited to attend the free program to learn about new ways to appreciate food and discover the health benefits of preventative nutrition. Space is limited, and reservations are required.

Lunch and Learn: Hospice 101
Hospice of the Ozarks has been providing compassionate, quality end-of-life care for over 35 years. The Schliemann Center for Women's Health Education will host a lunch and learn with Angela Broome, Outreach and Development Coordinator for Hospice of the Ozarks, on Wednesday, October 19 from noon to 1 p.m. Angela will answer questions about hospice, discuss when to talk about care with a loved one, dispel myths and more. Space is limited, and reservations are required.

For reservations, call the Schliemann Center at (870) 508-2345, or email Jaren Beavers, SCWHE Coordinator, at jbeavers@baxterregional.org.
