The 2016 Donor Banquet, hosted by the
Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation, was held on Friday evening, May 6 at The Sheid on the ASU-MH campus to
honor the many donors who help to keep Baxter Regional Medical Center
on the cutting edge of healthcare. Over 300 donors and guests were in
attendance.
John Dyess, Chairman of the Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation Board
of Directors, started the evening by introducing the BRMC Senior Leadership
Team along with Hospital and Foundation Board of Directors, the Auxiliary
Board and the Advisory Boards of the Community Heath Education and Support Houses.
Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation Board member Chris Carter gave the
invocation followed by Sally Gilbert, Chairman of the Baxter Regional
Hospital Board, who extended appreciation from the Board to all of the
donors present.
Ron Peterson, BRMC President and Chief Executive Officer, shared the philanthropic
impact that donations made to the Foundation have on the hospital to keep
BRMC a comprehensive, independent and community-driven health system.
Barney Larry, Executive Director of Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation
and BRMC VP/Business Development, introduced the Foundation staff and
thanked them for their devotion and service. Robert Stewart, who served
as a Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation Board member from 2003 to 2015,
was honored with a video featuring those who had served on committees
with him, and a plaque was presenting to him for his years of service.
D. Randall Drake, 2014 - 2015 Foundation Board Chairman, was also honored
with a video and beautiful framed photo of the hospital. He continues
to serve on the Foundation Board.
Peter Peitz, Katie King Risk and Don Ott, all founding members of the
Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation Board, were in attendance and recognized
also thanked for their many years of dedication and service.
Two videos were then presented that conveyed heartfelt, life altering
appreciation on the difference donor contributions made in their lives.
Robert and JoAnn James, Barbara Wright, shared donor stories, and Cline
Emergency Center Director Kelly Dicks, RN, Betty Dykstra, Jerry Strobel,
Jay and Jill Wescoat and Dr. Allen Jackson shared patient stories.
The Foundation also extended appreciation and gratitude to Twin Lakes
Community Bank for providing valet parking, El Chico Cafandeacute; for the
wonderful food and service, Judicious Spirits for beverages and Bouquet
Palace for the lovely centerpieces.
The evening ended with the
2015 Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation Annual Report
being distributed by hospital volunteers.
