BRMC Nurses Honored at 2016 Baxter Choice Awards

The second annual Baxter Choice Awards were held last week as part of the BRMC Nursesandrsquo; Week celebration. These are peer nominated awards to honor RNs and LPNs at BRMC for exuding the BRMC I CARE values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. There were 78 nominees and 30 winners.

Shannon Nachtigal, MSN, RN, BRMC VP/Chief Nursing Officer, won the Servantandrsquo;s Heart Award. This award is given each year to the BRMC nurse that sets an excellent example for the rest of the nursing staff, inspires coworkers and excels in nursing. Tammy Mitchell, LPN, Shannon's long time friend and first preceptor when she began her career at BRMC, presented the award to her.
