May is a busy month at Baxter Regional Medical Center
Baxter Regional Medical Center has much to celebrate during the month of
May. This month weand#39;re celebrating National Nurses' Week (May 6-12),
National Hospital Week (May 11-17), National Physical Fitness & Sports
Month and National Melanoma/Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month!
We express our thanks internally to our nurses, physicians, providers,
and all hospital employees during Nursesand#39; Week and Hospital Week,

National Physical Fitness and Sports Month has already begun with student physicals held for area student athletes
held last week at BRMC. Over 60 volunteers participated, and over 400
students were served. Organized by Mike Beam and Athletic Trainer Heather

National Melanoma/Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month, the Trauma Team of BRMC wants you to remember to andldquo;slather up!”
Be sure to generously apply a broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen
with a SPF of 30 or more before you head out side to enjoy your day. Everyone
needs sunscreen because people of all skin colors can get skin cancer.
More than 3.5 million skin cancers in more than 2 million people are diagnosed
annually, and many of these skin cancers could have been prevented with
