Medicare Savings Program and Extra Help enrollment assistance available
Medicare Savings Program and Extra Help enrollment assistance continues
to be available at Mruk Family Education Center on Aging (MFECOA) on the
campus of Baxter Regional Medical Center.
Did you know you could be paying less for prescription medication and
premiums? For those under 65 and drawing Social Security Disability or
those 65 or older, the Medicare Savings Program and Extra Help are available
to those who qualify. The staff and volunteers at the MFECOA have been
trained to help with the application process.
The
Medicare Savings Program will pay for Part B premium and deductibles. Individuals may qualify if
their income is less than $1,131 per month. Couples may qualify with an
income less than $1,765.
Extra Help assists with prescription medication and Part D costs. To qualify for
this program, an individual income can not exceed $957 per month, and
a couple can not exceed $1,292.50.
The Mruk Family Education Center on Aging offers free assistance with
the Medicare Savings Program and Extra Help application process. Please
