Some people may think that an ambulance is just for medical emergencies, but these vehicles can be used in case of accidents or other unforeseen circumstances. The team at Baxter Health Emergency Medical Services has been around since 1975 and are still going strong with their advanced care management service! With 11 ambulances throughout the Baxter Health service area, we strive to always be available when the seconds matter most.
The Baxter Health EMS Service area includes both Baxter and Marion Counties, with our service area population exceeding 65,000 residents.
Recognized for our commitment to excellence in the field, Baxter Health EMS is home to some of America's most prestigious programs. From a robust STEMI Lifeline Award program and mission accomplishment through service readiness initiatives like RSI training with Airway Management Services under one roof - we have you covered!
The state-of-the art medical equipment currently utilized by Baxter Health EMS makes them one of the most prepared agencies in their area to manage high risk/acuity patients. The following tools are all at Baxter Health's EMS Team's disposal: CPR Lucas Devices, King Video Scopes and Lift/Load Stretcher Systems which provide for safe transport or treatment options when necessary. Baxter Health also provides extensive pre-hospital emergency medical service training to all staff members who are eager and prepared in their responsibilities as part of Baxter Health's commitment to providing compassionate care beyond measure when it comes down providing quality patient outcomes.
Preparing for emergencies is crucial to ensuring the safety of those who
need medical care. When taking this into account, remember that it's always
best practice - no matter how routine your day may seem at first!
A key point to note if you have called for an ambulance involves staying
on phone with dispatch until they hang up so you can let them know about
any changes or new information regarding patients, while also preventing
confusion during an already stressful situation by following protocol
accordingly.
Make sure you are prepared with the following in the event of an emergency:
