About Thomas

Dr. Thomas E. Knox joined the Baxter Health Bone & Joint Clinic staff in 2024 after being in private practice and an active Baxter Health medical staff physician since 1983. Dr. Knox earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, and completed an internship and residency at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. He holds active medical licenses in Arkansas and Missouri and has served as Baxter Health's Chief of Surgery and chairman of the hospital's Credentials Committee. He is a board certified fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a fellow of the Arthroscopy Association of North America (FAANA) and has served on the AANA By-Laws Committee.

Both originally from Thayer, Missouri, Dr. Knox and his wife, Deborah, whom he married in 1975, reside in Mountain Home. They have two adult children and two grandsons. Dr. Knox and Deborah have been actively involved in the Mountain Home community, supporting many charitable, civic, educational, medical, and cultural causes. Dr. Knox is an avid motorcyclist, photographer, and pilot. The couple enjoys traveling, canoeing, hiking, and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
