The loss of a child has profound and long-lasting effects on a parent and
a family. Whether the loss is through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant
death, the impacts, grief, and difficulties people experience are similar
in intensity and length. Many find peace in the reciprocal sharing of
thoughts and feelings of others, which can aid in healing. Anyone who
can benefit from it is encouraged to attend the new Infant Loss &
Support group the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at Baxter
Regional Medical Center’s Schliemann Center for Women’s Health
Education.
The first meeting will be Thursday, October 1 at 5:30 p.m. at the Schliemann
Center, located on the Baxter Regional campus just across Hospital Drive
from the Main Entrance. To register or for more information, contact Stefany
Isham, SCWHE Coordinator (870) 508-2345 or sisham@baxterregional.org.
