Lorri Birkholz - Remarkable Stories
Lorri Birkholz, a triage nurse at the Cline Emergency Center at Baxter Regional Medical Center, was diagnosed with breast cancer in June. Thanks to routine mammograms every six months, doctors detected the malignant mass early enough for successful treatment. Birkholz elected to have a mastectomy to avoid the constant fear that the cancer might return. Birkholz found comfort and information at the Peitz Cancer Support House. Her friends and co-workers honored her with pink roses during Breast Cancer Awareness month in October. Her Remarkable story is one of strength and hope.
