Donna Anderson - Remarkable Stories
A professional dancer, choreographer and dance teacher, Donna Anderson, 83, of Flippin needed a hip replacement. Orthopaedic surgeons Dr. Anthony McBride and Dr. Win Moore performed a new, minimally invasive surgery on Anderson for the first time at Baxter Regional Medical Center. Using the new method, they made a small incision in the front of Anderson’s hip, as opposed to a larger incision at the side or back of the hip required by the traditional method. This new approach decreases recovery time and the incidence of dislocations. Due to the Remarkable spirit of innovation at Baxter Regional, Anderson will be back to teaching dance much sooner than she anticipated.
