Chip Hillis - Remarkable Stories

Chip Hillis, 58, of Bergman suffered a stroke in October and needed a “jump start” to get the right side of his body moving again. Hillis was treated in the Rehabilitation Unit of Baxter Regional Medical Center with the help of Bioness devices. These devices do for stroke victims what their own neurological system did before it was damaged: they facilitate communication between the brain and muscles in the body. Hillis continues weekly outpatient therapy. He can now walk with a walker and his speech is almost back to normal, thanks to the Remarkable technology at Baxter Regional.
