Women’s Health
Our Women’s Health department is designed to meet the unique and special health needs of women of all ages, ranging from prenatal care to childbirth to gynecological surgery.
Women’s health
Until recently, women’s healthcare predominately focused on reproductive issues while medical research largely ignored other critical healthcare areas. Now, however, much attention is being placed on specific health issues affecting women, such as cardiovascular disease, cancer and osteoporosis.
Women are now taking more responsibility for their own health and health education. Due to heightened awareness of disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices, women are living longer, healthier and more fulfilling lives. Also, in partnership with their doctors, many women are becoming active managers of their own healthcare.
The staff at Baxter Regional Medical Center can help you establish a healthcare pattern to last a lifetime. No matter what your age, the Women’s Health Center can customize a healthy living plan to suit your needs.
Staying healthy requires commitment and a little help along the way. Awareness of healthcare issues you may face is important. Perhaps you know someone who is affected by osteoporosis, or maybe you have had problems dealing with depression or a gynecological condition. Whatever the case may be, the Women’s Health Center at BRMC offers solutions and smart steps to a healthier and happier you.
The best place to be a baby
Services for expectant mothers at BRMC are guided by state-of-the-art technology and the gentle touch of a staff that has brought many little bundles of joy into the world.
When you arrive
Whether you come directly to the Women’s Health Center during the business day or the emergency room between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., you’ll be greeted with open arms by an experienced nurse who will evaluate your status and contact your physician.
